Tired of wasting an entire evening on a blind date? Speed dating could be your answer. It’s musical chairs – with chemistry!
Originated by a rabbi in Los Angeles to help Jewish singles meet and marry, speed dating is now sweeping the world! It’s a fun, no-pressure way for singles to meet. It combines a glimpse of personality, toothy smiles, visual screening and a chance to ask a few questions of each date.
The College of Southern Idaho’s Community Education is hosting a speed dating event at Pandora’s restaurant on Oct. 18. Participants will be divided into four age groups: 21-29, 30-49, 50-69, and 70 plus. You will have several mini-dates (depending on the number of people registered in each age group) lasting 7 minutes. Sample questions will be provided, but bring your own, too.
Only people who are single or divorced and seriously looking for a relationship should register. You must be 21 or older. Who knows, you may find that special someone, in 7 minutes or less!
The event will be hosted by Jill Skeem, the 2007 CSI Stand-up Comedy winner. Cost is $35, which includes one coupon redeemable for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
