Winner of the YOBI.tv Photography Contest, Abrey Adams Watterson (May, 2011 issue) is back in her studio after a two-week stint on set in Lansing, Michigan. She was awarded the role of official photographer for the new web series, New Stage, starring Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino. Abrey oversaw hair and makeup in addition to being a cast member in three episodes (playing a famous celebrity photographer) in the web series.
Abrey conceived her winning idea of the ABC series early in her photography career. “A for Alligator,” modeled by Danielle Moore Garcia, won Adams $6,000 and a contract for a credited on-set photo shoot with the cast of the New Stage web series.
For Southern Idaho’s winning photographer, Abrey found her skills well grounded working the fast paced and often grueling schedule as official photographer, hair and makeup manager and cast member. On set by 8 a.m. each morning, she spent sometimes 12 and 16 hours a day working with actors and camera crews. “It was a wonderful experience,” she says. “The people were great to work with.”
To her surprise, People Magazine published her photos of Sorrentino. A promising career just made better, Watterson now faces the challenge of being in demand by a much bigger audience than Southern Idaho. You can see Abrey Adams Watterson’s work at: http://www.abreyadamsphoto.com/ or Facebook
