Does June bring with it a reason to celebrate? Glanbia Foods thinks so. Along with being dairy month, it’s a milestone birthday for the Magic Valley dairy company and they’re acknowledging it with a bash. After 21 successful years of cheese production they’re ready to party. You may be wondering why a company would choose year number 21 to celebrate. Well, Glanbia has Irish roots and in Ireland they acknowledge 21 as a coming of age.

So on June 30th, even if your kilt is at the dry cleaners and the bagpipes are away being tuned, plan to celebrate along with Glanbia at the Filer Fairgrounds. As a thank you to the community that supported it through the years, Glanbia has dreamed up a day of non-stop fun for the entire family.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m. kids and adults can scale rock walls, get their pretzel on in games of 20-man Twister, clock the speed of fastballs in pitching competitions, race through obstacle courses, cool down on water slides, and transform into spiderman through face painting. With 32 events to choose from, it’s likely everyone should find some excitement to enjoy. When the daytime events wind down at 7:00 p.m. though don’t plan on going very far since that’s when the party really gets started.

Southern Idaho’s Jason Lugo Band will hit the concert stage at 7:30 p.m. to welcome in the evening. Shortly after, country superstars Montgomery Gentry will be rocking the fairgrounds with their boot-stomping, southern country energy. With chart topping hits including “My Town” and “Where I Come From” the employees of Glanbia felt the duo was a perfect addition to the celebration of a community.

Putting final touches on a day packed with celebration, the sky will bloom with fireworks around 10:00 p.m.

This will surely be an event not to miss. Tickets for daytime event are $5 and concert tickets are $20 purchased in advance online or at Twin Falls & Gooding Chamber. Tickets are $25 at the gate day of the event. A portion of the proceeds go to a local charity. For more information and to purchase tickets visit www.glanbia21st.com
